I'm getting too many e-mails from JobScore! How do I turn them off?

Every JobScore user can control their own e-mail alerts. You can turn your alerts on and off on your e-mail alerts page.

How do I change the e-mail address associated with my account?

Visit your user page.  Edit your e-mail address and click update.

How can I get better results from my referral request e-mails?

First and foremost, write a great job description...if someone can't visualize themselves or one of their friends doing the job, they are unlikely to forward it along.

Second - include a referral reward! There's nothing like cash to motivate people to open up their address book and take a few moments to help promote your job.

Third - keep it short and simple... because the job description and referral reward amount are included in all JobScore referral requests, in your intro:

  • Include an update - maybe some information about a recent customer win, an office move, a recent hire, or something else exciting that's happening in your business

  • Talk about why the job is open

  • Ask them to forward it to great people they know

  • Make sure to say thank you!

  • Include your name and contact information in case they have questions

Can I get e-mail alerts about activity on my jobs?

Yes. You can receive e-mail alerts whenever a candidate applies to one of your jobs by adding the job to the Candidate Alerts list on your e-mail alerts page. It's up to you whether you get a specific email each time someone applies to one of your jobs or a daily digest of all applicants.

Can I get e-mail alerts about activity on other people's jobs?

Yes. You can receive an e-mail alert whenever a candidate applies for any job in your account by adding the job to the Candidate Alerts list on your e-mail alerts page.

How do I set up candidate alerts?

Visit your e-mail alerts page. In the Candidate alerts section, click the "Add Candidate Alert" link at the bottom of the table and enter values in the new row. Make sure to click the update button at the bottom of the page to put them into effect.

What is a task alert?

A task alert is a reminder you receive when someone assigns you a task, or after you assign a task to yourself. There are two types of tasks alerts: individual alerts and daily digest alerts.

Can I e-mail another user through JobScore?

You can't directly send e-mails to other users through JobScore. However, there are a couple of features in JobScore that send e-mails to other users on your behalf:

  • When you Forward a Candidate, you are sending a resume to a fellow user with the candidate's resume, profile and links to easily add feedback or update the candidate's status.
  • When you add or edit a task assigned to another user and check the "notify" box, JobScore sends them a reminder email.
  • If you are an admin you can find the email address of other users in your account by visiting your users page and clicking on their name. Just click on their email address on this page and you'll be able to send them an email through your own email client.

Can I e-mail candidates directly through JobScore?

You can't directly send e-mail directly to candidates through JobScore at this time. When you click on an candidate's email address in JobScore it should open up a blank email to them in your own email client. You can set which email client is used in the settings of your browser. Can JobScore track my e-mail correspondence with a candidate?

Not at this time. For now, we recommend that you copy and paste important e-mail exchanges between you and your candidates into notes.
