::search.labs is currently representing an exciting digital media firm in the los angeles, ca market that is looking for an Business Intelligence Operations Manager to work with the Business Intelligence team. our client is a pre-equity event digital marketplace venture, with a unique and exciting collaborative culture. the compensation range for this role is in line with current salary levels. our client also offers equity opportunity, and a robust benefits package.

the role

this role will be an integral part our client's continuing efforts to enhance their operational execution in the area of relevant analytics + business insights for internal clients. the operations manager will:

• establish operational policies, standards and procedures governing BI platform(s)
• collaborate with BI product and engineering leads on building data quality and integrity checks into BI platform processing architecture.

necessary experience

• 3-5 years experience in e-commerce, banking, finance or similar company that deals with large volumes of daily transactions.
• developing/negotiating SLAs, terms, conditions, measurement systems, etc.
• managing BI Platform comprised of commercial web analytics, data warehouse, OLTP and OLAP technologies, such as Omniture/Visual Sciences,  Informatica/Data Stage, Netezza,/Data Allegro, Oracle/SQL Server, MicroStrategy, Tibco/Tuxedo.

ideal skills and education

• bachelors degree in science, mathematics, statistics or related area.
• expertise with BI Platform processing architecture (e.g., data collection, feed management, ETL, Warehouse, OLTP, OLAP, reporting systems).
